For 60 years, Godzilla has taken on threat after towering threat, wrestling with the likes of the massive Biollante, grappling with King Ghidorah, and bathing other colossal creatures in atomic fire. Now the Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka is honoring the scaly protector of the human race with a 24-karat gold figure worth nearly $1.5 million, so start saving your allowance money.

Modeled after the King of Monsters' appearance in the 1989 film, Godzilla vs. Biollante, Ginza Tanaka's Godzilla statue is 15kg of pure, 24-karat gold. The collectible stands about 35cm tall, was released in late July and is currently on an exhibition tour of the Ginza Tanaka stores in Japan.
