Open your eyes wide and get ready to celebrate one of the most renowned filmmakers of our time, because Alamo Drafthouse and Mondo have teamed up for a year-long celebration of Stanley Kubrick that will feature special screenings and new apparel based on his films, beginning with A Clockwork Orange on February 21st.

In addition to A Clockwork Orange, Alamo Drafthouse and Mondo will pay tribute to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Full Metal Jacket, and The Shining—one film for each quarter of the year.

Press Release: Austin, TX - January 19, 2017 - Viddy well, droogs, astronauts, marines and hotel managers, viddy well! Alamo Drafthouse and Mondo are proud to announce an epic homage to filmmaker Stanley Kubrick with a series of screenings and officially licensed apparel running throughout 2017.

Working in partnership with Warner Bros. and the Stanley Kubrick Estate, Alamo Drafthouse and Mondo have secured licensing rights to four of Kubrick's most iconic features - A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, FULL METAL JACKET and THE SHINING - giving them the ability to release officially licensed apparel for the first time. The apparel line draws directly from film assets and features some of the most iconic imagery from Kubrick's legendary oeuvre.

"We're ecstatic to be able to bring a slice of Stanley's vision to life in this form," said Jay Shaw, Mondo Brand Director. "He represents the very elite of filmmakers and has long been an inspiration for all of us both at Mondo and Alamo Drafthouse."

Fans of a bit of the old ultra-violence and Ludwig Van will be in bliss and heaven to learn that the series will launch on February 21st with A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. Timed to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of CLOCKWORK author Anthony Burgess, the Alamo Drafthouse will screen Kubrick's dystopian droog tale for one night only at locations across the country. Each ticket will include a commemorative t-shirt featuring Kubrick's seminal CLOCKWORK opening shot of Alex, played by Malcolm McDowell. All other items in the A CLOCKWORK ORANGE collection will be available exclusively on mondotees.com.
