After Luke Evans (The Raven, Fast & Furious 6) secured the lead in Universal's new Dracula movie last month, the casting process for supporting roles has started and we have  an update on who will appear in the movie alongside him.

According to Variety, Dominic Cooper (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter- pictured below) is currently in negotiations to co-star in the movie. There was no confirmation on what character he'll play, but he could be taking on the sultan role referenced in the story details below.

It has also been confirmed that Sarah Gadon (Cosmopolis, A Dangerous Method- pictured below)  is officially on board. While we don't know who she'll be playing either, this previously released story information suggests that she could be Vlad's wife:

"The script tells of a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire."

Universal plans to release Dracula on August 8th, 2014. Gary Shore will direct the film from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Check back soon for additional casting and story information.
