Before Chad Coleman was even cast in The Walking Dead, fans of the comic book series thought he'd be perfect in the role of a certain fan-favorite character. There were rumors that he was spotted on the set recently and it has been confirmed that he is appearing in The Walking Dead's third season. *Spoiler Warning: There are no plot spoilers, but to avoid this if you're against spoilers of any kind.
TVLine officially confirmed today that Chad Coleman (The Wire) will be playing the role of Tyreese. In the comic book series, this character met up with Rick and the group before they arrived at the prison. He is a major part of the prison and Woodbury storyline, so it's good to see this character introduced just in time for all of the upcoming action.
Although it has not been revealed when or how Tyreese shows up, it is rumored that we could see him during the mid-season finale on December 2nd. In the comic book series, Tyreese doesn't travel alone and we're curious to see if others are joining the cast with him. We'll pass on specific comic book details to avoid major spoilers, but it's nice to see the world of The Walking Dead expanding and more characters being added to the mix.
