John Carpenter's depiction of Stephen King's killer ’58 Plymouth Fury is coming back out on Blu-ray—this time in a wide release (Twilight Time released 3,000 Christine Blu-rays in 2013).

Blu-ray.com reports that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has set a September 29th release date for the Christine Blu-ray, which should give horror fans more than enough time to have it on their shelves by the time Halloween movie marathon season hits.

No special features have been announced, but we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on further announcements. Directed by Carpenter (and also featuring an eerie score he crafted with Alan Howarth) from a screenplay Bill Phillips penned based on King's novel of the same name, Christine stars Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, Harry Dean Stanton, and Christine Belford.

Synopsis: "Geeky student Arnie Cunningham falls for Christine, a rusty 1958 Plymouth Fury, and becomes obsessed with restoring the classic automobile to her former glory. But as the car changes, so does Arnie, and his newfound confidence turns to arrogance behind the wheel of his exotic beauty. Arnie's girlfriend Leigh and best friend Dennis reach out to him, only to be met by a Fury like no other."
