Early next year, zombie fans will finally be able to see the living dead roam the 19th-century English countryside in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Ahead of its big screen release in February, the film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel will be teased next month in Hall H at Comic-Con.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Screen Gems will bring two end-of-the-world projects to Comic-Con's Hall H at 12:15pm on Saturday, July 11th:

"Screen Gems will premiere exclusive first look footage from Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, bringing Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston and Matt Smith to the stage along with director Burr Steers, and the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith. Screen Gems will also be debuting the first look footage from Patient Zero, which stars Smith and Natalie Dormer. Director Stefan Ruzowitzky and screenwriter Mike Le will also take the stage."

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will hit theaters on February 5th, 2016, from Sony/Screen Gems. In the film, “the heroine, Liz Bennett (James), is pressured by her family to marry into a wealthy upper-class home but chafes at the stiff social mores of Victorian England. Instead, she feels that she should help defend the countryside against the onslaught of a horrifying zombie plague.”

Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, and Matt Smith star in the horror comedy. James plays Elizabeth Bennett, Riley portrays Mr. Darcy, Heathcote plays Elizabeth’s sister, and Smith takes on the role of Mr. Collins. Jack Huston, Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, and Lena Headey round out the core cast. Among the producers is Natalie Portman, who was once in line to star before departing the project.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was written and directed by Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down, 17 Again), and is based on the popular Seth Grahame-Smith novel of the same name. We’ll keep Daily Dead readers updated on any further announcements. Below is the first photo from the film that was previously unveiled by Entertainment Weekly:

Patient Zero: In Patient Zero, "an unprecedented global pandemic of a super strain of rabies has resulted in the evolution of a new species driven by violence. An inexplicably immune human survivor with the ability to communicate with this new species must spearhead a hunt for Patient Zero in order to find a cure to save his infected wife and humanity.”

Directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky from a screenplay by Mike Le, Patient Zero stars Matt Smith, Natalie Dormer, and Stanley Tucci. Screen Gems has not yet revealed a release date for the film.
