With the return of The Walking Dead Season 3 in two weeks, we'll have plenty of new content coming your way. Earlier today, we covered a couple of pieces of concept art Glen Mazzara shared on his Twitter account and we have another nine pieces of art he posted this evening. All of the artwork revolves around Season 3's new locations: the prison and the Town of Woodbury.

During our December interview with Glen Mazzara, he talked about the prison being a major character on the show and what we can expect from the location in the second half of Season 3:

"The prison is a major character in the show. First you meet the backyard, then the courtyard, and the cell block, and the tomb. We kept peeling layers back and they were designed methodically. Rick was effective in taking back the prison until Hershel loses his leg.

There’s one thing that maybe has confused the audience. When we first encountered the prison in the season premiere, Daryl points to fire damage and says that part of the prison is in disarray. We see that when Tyreese goes there, so there is a part of the prison that can never completely be secured unless they erect a fence or something like that.

Right now, our characters are caught between the walkers and The Governor. The governor is furious and wants revenge, and he knows where they live. They have two obstacles to deal with."

AMC previously announced that The Walking Dead Season 3 will return with episode 9 on Sunday, February 10th at 9pm EST. It has also been announced that Talking Dead will be expanding to a one-hour program format and will immediately follow The Walking Dead at 10pm EST. We'll have plenty of coverage leading up to the mid-season premiere, but you can catch up on our recent coverage by visiting the following links:
