The residents of Evans County have had their hands full since the dead started walking, infectious worms began wriggling about, and visitors from above made their presence known one fateful Sunday in 1966. On August 24th, Double Take's Night of the Living Dead: Revival #5 issues will conclude the first story arcs across all ten of its comic book series, but as the cover art for each issue suggests, there are still plenty of intriguing moments ahead.

Below, you can view the cover art for all ten #5 issues of Double Take's Night of the Living Dead: Revival, and keep an eye out for our impressions of the new issues and exclusive Q&As with two key members of Double Take's creative team.

"Double Take is launching a new comic book universe. We assembled ten teams of talented creators and asked them to start their stories in the world established by Night of the Living Dead. Then we let our imaginations, and our zombies, run wild. Fans of the classic horror film will not be disappointed. You can follow your favorite characters from their first appearances, to their dying breaths, to their first baby zombie steps.

But mostly, these are new stories starring new characters—many of whom transform from undead cannibals to uncanny superheroes…

Z-Men: With the U.S. military in PA, solely as advisors, the Air Force drops 300 million tons of advice on Evans County.

Spring: She wore an itsy bitsy teeny-weeny yellow polka dot bikini...to the Apocalypse. The only thing worse than disappearing under the water is being left behind.

Home: A happy family, a lovely spring evening, and zombies. The family that faces zombies together stays together.

Dedication: Clean up in aisle...well, all of them. It's a late night snack attack in George's market.

Remote: As ghouls surround her station, KBRF Radio ace DJ Samantha stays on the air all night. Will Rock & Roll save her soul?

Honor: If you get pulled over by these cops, get ready to hand over your license, registration, and death certificate.

Soul: The posse shoots to kill, but Ben survives. Too bad it’s all downhill from here. As the tale unwinds, Chief McClelland and the posse suspect that Ben may not be telling them the whole truth.

Rise: They’re coming to get you Barbara. An old story with a new end and a new beginning.

Medic: Something wicked this way comes, taking toes and eating thumbs.

Slab: Even a brain-a-day can't keep this doctor away. Things get weird in the lab when Dr. Grimes feeds a zombie sandwiches--all in the name of science. Bring out your undead...bring out your undead...I'm not undead yet!”
