Welcome back for day eight of Daily Dead’s 2013 Holiday Gift Guide! It’s our last day, so we’ve got one last hurrah of awesome horror and sci-fi themed gift ideas that would perfect for you or anyone who loves horror and sci-fi movies as much as we do around here.

To wrap up our second gift guide week, we’ve got another super-sized edition chock-full of awesome ideas to get you through the holiday shopping season.  From film memberships to Walking Dead games and jewelry to zombie slippers, there’s pretty much a gift for every type of horror fan here.

Check out Daily Dead’s final selections for the 2013 Gift Guide and be sure to check back here for more holiday-related fun, including the lowdown on our “Five Days of Deadmas” contest that begins next week!

Movies:  Today’s movie selections aren’t movies per say, but rather, two ways to get your hands on some of the very best this genre has to offer, from the past to the present.

First up is this great subscription service from Drafthouse Films called the “Drafthouse Films Alliance,” which gets their films into your hot little hands, direct from the source. As someone who has been a fan of pretty much anything associated with Drafthouse, from their theatres to their “no talking” policy to their taste in films, you really can’t go wrong here if you’re a huge fan of independent horror cinema.

With newer titles like The FP, Cheap Thrills, I Declare War as well as cult classics like Miami Connection, Ms. 45 and Wake in Fright, under their banner, you’re guaranteed some of very thought-provoking entertainment no matter what you get from them. They also have two types of memberships: there’s the Alliance Membership which runs $120 a year and gets you 10 DVDs or Blu-rays throughout the course of your membership and there’s also the Alliance Digital Membership for $80 that gets you the same films but just digitally (in case you have an aversion to tangible media). You also get MP3s of each soundtrack and some other perks thrown in- all in all, pretty awesome.

Also, Shout! Factory right now is celebrating the holidays with their “Three Wayz to Save for the Holidaze” sale which offers fans a chance to save up to 20% on their purchases depending on how much they spend. Always a proponent of preserving classic genre (and even non-genre) entertainment, your dollars are always well-spent with either Shout! or Scream Factory and with their current sale underway, it’s a perfect time to stock up on some of those titles you’ve been holding off on (I’m looking directly at you, Vincent Price Collection).

Apparel:  For our final apparel choices, we’re starting with another slipper find of mine, this time in zombie form (the same company who was behind the Cthulhu slippers we featured in an earlier gift guide) and you walker fans have two colors to choose from. These look really fun and comfy- and seriously, who wouldn’t want a pair of zombie slippers? Check out the Green Zombie Slippers HERE or the equally fun Blue Zombie Slippers right HERE.

Next up are these really fun horror-themed tank dresses over at HorrorMerch.com. Featuring all kinds of great designs- from the classics to the cult faves- these would make for a great gift for any gore-loving gal. Check out their entire selection HERE.

Finally, the last apparel items I wanted to mention come from over at CavityColors.com which is an up-and-coming horror site featuring an awesome array of shirts and hoodies as well as some truly badass art selections as well. I just started following them on Twitter after seeing their Slimer t-shirt and they have some really cool art over there. Check out the site HERE.

Accessories: Many of today’s accessory gift guide choices are all about honoring the classics. First up is this great Classic Monsters Messenger Bag that’s perfect to tote around your laptop or any other random belongings in. If you’re looking for something smaller, I also discovered this Frankenstein Purse and Mummy Wallet, which would be perfect gifts for that special lady who happens to love classic horror. I definitely didn’t want to leave all the men out, so I dug up a Mummy-themed wallet perfect for the dudes.

The final accessory I wanted to showcase today is this Daryl Dixon-inspired charm bracelet on Etsy. Everyone knows the ladies love Daryl, making this a fantastic (and one-of-a-kind) gift for any gal who fancies herself a Walking Dead fan. Check it out HERE.

Collectibles:  Speaking of Walking Dead, I’d be remiss if I didn’t include the recently released Walking Dead Monopoly, as you really can’t get a cooler version of Monopoly than this one right here. I love all the details to it and how they really paid attention to why fans love the Walking Dead universe so much. Buy it HERE.

And since we featured some of our favorite movie monsters earlier, I thought it would be cool to include this really different Classic Monsters stocking I also discovered on Etsy recently. I’m a sucker for unique stockings and this would make for a great gift for any classic genre fan. Check it out HERE.

I also found some really cool ornaments on Etsy recently too- there was this really bizarre (but awesome) set of Zombie Angel ornaments as well as these adorable handmade Nightmare Before Christmas clay ornaments which would look absolutely perfect on any tree.

Finally, I wanted to mention one of my favorite places to look at badass genre-inspired art- Hero Complex Gallery. I came across them a few months ago (also because of Twitter) and have quickly become a huge fan. Definitely a cool site to check out if you’re looking for some truly unique gift ideas (like this Jaws-inspired piece). Check out their gallery HERE.

And that’s a wrap on Daily Dead’s 2013 Gift Guide! Thank you so much for reading along these last two weeks- we hope you had as much fun checking out our gift ideas as I did putting it together. Happy Holidays!
