Black Friday Deals:

Here’s a look at some great online Black Friday deals that may help you get a jump on your holiday shopping this weekend.

Mondo: Starting at 10 am CT on 11/27, Mondo is preparing for its first ever flat file sale which means fans can get their hands on some great artwork that they have missed in the past. Their announcement boasts over 400 different posters so be sure to check out their site on Friday to see which fantastic prints are being offered up for purchase.

Sourpuss Clothing: Sourpuss Clothing has quickly become one of my favorite sites as they never fail to have fun and unusual items pop up time and time again (seriously, they have a Point Break patch which immediately won them points in my book). You can find tons of great apparel items, housewares, accessories and more at Sourpuss and right now, through 11/29, you can save 25% off your entire order by using the code BLACKFRIDAY when you order via their site.

Scream Factory: The folks over at Shout! And Scream Factory aren’t doing a traditional Black Friday sale but what they are doing this holiday season is offering weekly deals to all their mailing list members. Currently, they’re offering 15% off on any orders $80 or more so be sure to sign up for their emails (if you haven’t already) so that you can check out their upcoming deals as they get announced.

Entertainment Earth: The equivalent of online nirvana for pop culture geeks, pretty much any collectible you could ever want can undoubtedly be found on Entertainment Earth’s website. They haven’t officially announced details for this year’s Black Friday sale, but based on their current pre-BF sale I would definitely recommend keeping watch on their site over the weekend as there is bound to be some great deals on gifts from EE.

Think Geek: ThinkGeek.com is another great resource for…..well, geeks who like to show off their love for all kinds of ‘nerdy’ things and again, they haven’t yet revealed their Black Friday deals but based on their current pre-BF sale of 20% off all orders $40 or more, I’d say it’s a safe bet that they’re going to be offering other discounts to their customers over the holiday weekend.

Horror Decor: The genre-loving crew at Horror Decor already unveiled their amazing holiday collection of items including ornaments, their stuffed Creepy Mall Santa and a fun Santa-themed candle to celebrate WWE Legend Mick Foley’s recent holiday film, I Am Santa and that’s in addition to all their other awesome horror-themed goodies for your home. In honor of Black Friday, HD will be offering up discounts on their site in addition to some exclusive items that will only be available for purchase throughout the weekend so be sure to check out HorrorDecor.com to see what they’ve got in store for everyone.

Cavity Colors: You’ll be seeing more of Cavity Colors later in our Holiday Gift Guide but in the meantime, CC is doing a Cyber Hell sale that starts at 11:59 pm EST on Thursday night where you can pick up all kinds of great shirts, patches and more from their site.

Books:

The Art of Horror: An Illustrated History

Amazingly, there has never been a book quite like The Art of Horror a celebration of frightful images, compiled and presented by some of the genre's most respected names. While acknowledging the beginnings of horror-related art in legends and folk tales, the focus of the book is on how the genre has presented itself to the world since the creations of Bram Stoker and Mary Shelley first became part of the public consciousness in the 19th century. It's all here: from early engravings via dust jackets, book illustrations, pulp magazines, movie posters, comic books, and paintings to today's artists working entirely in the digital realm.

Editor Stephen Jones and his stellar team of contributors have sourced visuals from archives and private collections (including their own) worldwide, ensuring an unprecedented selection that is accessible to those discovering the genre, while also including many images that will be rare and unfamiliar to even the most committed fan. From the shockingly lurid to the hauntingly beautiful including images of vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, demons, serial killers, alien invaders, and more every aspect of the genre is represented in ten themed chapters. Quotes from artists/illustrators, and a selection from writers and filmmakers, are featured throughout.

Apparel:

Middle of Beyond

From the site: Tattoo artist Ezra Haidet created Middle of Beyond to expand his creative ideas to a new medium. Beginning with a collection of sweaters and cardigans and now expanding into home goods, toys, and apparel. Middle of Beyond is committed to creating high quality products and the best customer service possible.

MOB popped up on my radar earlier this year when they announced their Christmas Sweaters collection (which I would love to have one of each, honestly) but they also offer up a bunch of other fun holiday and winter items like scarves, throw blankets, tree toppers and ornaments that would all make for perfect gifts (or a perfect treat for yourself even!).

Especially for the Scream Queens:

Creepy Clutches

Know a horror loving gal who is in need of a new (and badass) purse? Check out the handbags and other items from Creepy Clutches, including this fun Hocus Pocus Purse, this adorably unusual Killer Klown Purse or even this killer Rocky Horror Picture Show Purse.

Movies:

Alfred Hitchcock: The Essentials Collection (Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Blu-ray)

Universally recognized as the Master of Suspense, the legendary Alfred Hitchcock directed some of cinema’s most thrilling and unforgettable classics. Alfred Hitchcock: The Essentials Collection features five iconic films from the acclaimed director’s illustrious career including Rear Window, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho and The Birds each digitally restored from high resolution film elements. Starring Hollywood favorites such as James Stewart, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Tippi Hedren, Eva Marie Saint, Kim Novak and Rod Taylor, this essential collection captures the most memorable moments in the career of a true cinematic master.

Music & Art:

Trevor Henderson Illustration

From the site: Trevor Henderson grew up watching horrible monster movies, collecting "Tales From The Crypt" comic books and reading Lovecraft and Poe. He likes drawing drippy, boil-covered things in really bright colours.

Games & Collectibles:

Have you ever wanted to own a Lego version of yourself or some of your favorite horror movie characters? Time to check out Custom Mini-Figs  then. Note: Mini-Figs is UK based so be sure to get your orders in by November 29th to get your items in time for Christmas.

From the site: It’s a pretty common problem – you get further and further through life, without even being represented as a single minifig. It affects an alarming number of people.  Just last year, an estimate we made up indicated that nearly 99.9% of all people have no Lego legacy at all.

Here at Minifigs.me, we’re fighting this injustice every day.  Have a look at some of the lucky souls who have been turned into a custom Lego minifig recently, then buy one of your own, before it’s too late*.

For the Little Ghouls:

Shrinky Dinks Monster Lab

These Shrinky Dinks are downright monstrous. Kids get to color, bake and shrink more than 50 types of creatures. Every Shrinky Dink can be customized thanks to Faber-Castell Color EcoPencils, brads, chenille stems, wiggly eyes and more. When it's finished, the creatures can then be placed inside the 3D pop-up laboratory and displayed to the world. For ages 7+.

Etsy Spotlight:

Whether you’re looking for some Star Wars Christmas Cards, a Quint Jaws Ornament or an Alien Refrigerator Magnet Set to make your kitchen just a little more badass, then be sure to check out Castle McQuade on Etsy as there are a ton of fun items to be found.

Also, PJ has created the ultimate manly magnet gift- a Kurt Russell Magnet Set- which might be the greatest magnet set I’ve ever seen.
