With a loving wife and son at his side, life is good for Vlad. But when ruler Mehmed II demands 1,000 Transylvanian boys be drafted into his army, Vlad turns to dark forces to protect his family and his land, trading his regular life for that of a damned immortal. From Universal, Legendary Pictures' Dracula Untold will see theaters a bit earlier than expected.

Initially planned for an October 17th release, Dracula Untold will now hit theaters on October 10th in all formats, including IMAX.

For those that missed our earlier coverage of this title, Dracula Untold has changed directors a number of times over the years before filming and was previously known as Dracula: Year Zero. The film is directed by Gary Shore from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, while Michael De Luca produces. Luke Evans stars as Dracula, and the movie also features Sarah Gadon, Diarmaid Murtagh, and Dominic Cooper as Mehmed II.

"The origin story of the man who became the enduring legend of Dracula is told in this epic action-adventure starring Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit Series) in the title role."
