If the season 2 finale of Fear The Walking Dead was any indication, the third season is going to take things in quite a different direction, and while the news front for the show has been relatively quiet as of late, it was recently revealed that Emma Caulfield is set to guest star in the upcoming season of The Walking Dead companion series.

TVLine reports the news of Caulfield's upcoming appearance on Fear The Walking Dead. Details on Caulfield's character have yet to be revealed, but we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is unveiled.

Caulfield is no stranger to horror fans, having played the fan-favorite character Anya on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and she is also well-known for her portrayal of the Blind Witch on Once Upon a Time.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 3 premieres sometime in 2017, and while official plot details have not been announced, here's what showrunner Dave Erickson told us about the upcoming season:

"We see some of the elements, the militia group, that group that confronts Nick and Luciana and company when they get to the border at the end of 215, they will definitely be a factor moving into season 3. The character that Ofelia bumps into on the border, he will fold back over probably into the group that Nick confronts. We’re taking some of the northern elements that we haven’t seen, and starting to thread that back in, so that will be a factor. Then we’ll be meeting some new people in Tijuana."
