Arriving in theaters this weekend is Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, which sees Danny Trejo reprising his role as the titular badass. He's now tasked with saving not only his country, but the entire world from a madman (Mel Gibson) hell-bent on destroying humanity with nuclear bombs strategically position all over the globe.

And of course it wouldn't be a Rodriguez film without some truly inspired and awesome casting choices, including Charlie Sheen, Sofia Vergara, Michelle Rodriguez, William Sadler, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Cuba Gooding Jr., Walt Goggins, Tom Savini, Vanessa Hudgens and Alexa Vega- the amount of talent on display in Machete Kills is awe-inspiring to say the least.

During the recent press day for Machete Kills, Daily Dead had the opportunity to sit down and talk with both Trejo and his co-star Vega about their experiences reteaming with Rodriguez on his latest sequel. The duo also discussed their big, happy filmmaking 'family' and what sorts of things they'd like to see in a third Machete film if this one does well.  Trejo discussed returning to the role of Machete Cortez once again and Vega (who Rodriguez fans will remember as the little girl from the Spy Kids series) chatted about growing up in the eyes on both Trejo and Rodriguez, her harshest critics.
