"How far does a scream travel out here, Wyatt?" We recently broke the news that IFC Midnight set a July 1st on demand and select theatrical release date for Mickey Keating’s Carnage Park, and now the first trailer for the anticipated horror thriller has been revealed.

Debuting on Blumhouse earlier today, the first trailer for Carnage Park offers a gruesome glimpse at the twisted playground of Wyatt (Pat Healy), a crazed killer and expert sniper who sets his sights on criminals Scorpion Joe (James Landry Hébert) and Lenny (Michael Villar), as well as their unlucky hostage, Vivian (Ashley Bell). Also starring in the film is Alan Ruck as the local lawman.

In addition the official trailer, we have a look at the new poster for the film (via Bloody Disgusting), which Daily Dead's Heather Wixson called "a brutal masterpiece of tension and terror" after seeing it at Sundance.

“The year is 1978. After botching an ill-conceived bank robbery in a desolate California town, two wannabe crooks named Scorpion Joe and Lenny flee the scene with a hostage, Vivian, and lead the local lawmen on a dangerous high-speed chase. With his partner suffering from a gunshot wound and losing blood fast, Joe takes to the back roads to dodge the heat, but he unwittingly steers them into the path of a far more dangerous evil: a psychotic ex-military sniper who doesn’t take kindly to strangers. Thrust into a wicked game of cat and mouse with a highly trained and mentally imbalanced killer, they begin a harrowing fight for survival.”
