"It's not you. It's the house. In 1974, the owner of this house murdered his whole family. He said voices told him to do it." Dimension Films is taking viewers back down memory lane to the house on Ocean Avenue where evil spirits live. The first trailer for Amityville: The Awakening, the latest installment in the horror movie franchise that began in 1979, has been unleashed.

Amityville: The Awakening will hit theaters on January 2nd, 2015. The movie follows a single mother (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and her three children as they move into the dreaded 112 Ocean Avenue home in New York, unaware of its bloody, possessive history.
