Getting lost in the catacombs beneath Paris would be terrifying in itself, but discovering that the skull-lined walls lead to the gates of hell would really crank up the horror. That's what a team of ill-fated archaeologists find out in Universal Pictures' As Above, So Below. The film's first official trailer has been released, and we have it for you to check out:

"Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the secret of what this city of the dead was meant to contain. A journey into madness and terror, As Above, So Below reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

Written by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (Quarantine, Devil) and directed by John Erick Dowdle, the psychological thriller is produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Patrick Aiello and Drew Dowdle. Alex Hedlund serves as the executive producer."

The movie stars Perdita Weeks (The Invisible Woman), Ben Feldman (2009's Friday the 13th), and Edwin Hodge (The Purge).
