"This thing... it's gonna follow you. Somebody gave it to me, and I passed it to you." Along with Starry Eyes, It Follows is popping up in many discussions about the best horror movies of the year. Viewers who weren't able to catch writer/director David Robert Mitchell's new movie at festival screenings now have a release date to look forward to and can get a tease of what's to come in the film's new trailer.

RADiUS-TWC have slated It Follows to hit U.S. theaters on March 27th, 2015. Penned and directed by David Robert Mitchell (The Myth of the American Sleepover), It Follows stars Maika Monroe (Labor Day), Keir Gilchrist (It's Kind of a Funny Story), Daniel Zovatto (Beneath), Olivia Luccardi (Girls), Jake Weary (Zombeavers), and Lili Sepe (Spork).

"For 19-year-old Jay (Monroe), the fall should be about school, boys and weekends at the lake. Yet, after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter she suddenly finds herself plagued by nightmarish visions; she can’t shake the sensation that someone, or something, is following her. As the threat closes in, Jay and her friends must somehow escape the horrors that are only a few steps behind."
