Ryan Murphy previously mentioned that he’d try to get additional Season 1 actors to return and has revealed that Frances Conroy is back for American Horror Story: Asylum.
Frances Conroy played one half of Moira O’Hara in Season 1 and Murphy teased that she’ll be playing the ultimate angel this time around: “Thrilled to announce Emmy nominee Frances Conroy is returning to AHS. Devils and angels this year…Frannie plays the ultimate angel.”
She’ll be joining Season 1 actors actors Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Even Peters, and Lily Rabe, who are all returning as new characters. New cast members include Adam Levine, Chloe Sevigny, James Cromwell, Lizzie Brocheré, Jenna Dewan, Clea Duvall, Franka Potente, Chris Zylka, Britne Oldford, Mark Consuelos and Joseph Fiennes.
American Horror Story: Asylum is currently filming and features a brand new story set at an institution for the criminally insane during the 1960′s. The first episode will premiere on Wednesday, October 17th and you can catch up on our recent coverage at:
