The ragtag team aboard the Milano expanded the Marvel universe this past summer by traveling through the cosmos and introducing moviegoers to new worlds and a plethora of fresh characters. Fans of James Gunn's stunning third feature can explore even more of the outlying realms with the Guardians of the Galaxy home media release coming out this December.

Available first on Digital HD on November 19th, Guardians of the Galaxy is being released in both 2D and 3D Blu-ray combo packs and on DVD on December 9th. While the 2D version will display the movie in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio throughout the film, Blu-ray.com reports that the 3D Blu-ray will showcase the film with a shifting aspect ratio (2.40:1 & 1.78:1) similar to The Dark Knight.
