Helix Season 1 Blu-ray / DVD Announced

A team of scientists in the Arctic find themselves face-to-face with an adversary that, if unleashed on the world, could destroy life as we know it. Though it may sound similar to John Carpenter's The Thing, Syfy's original series Helix is its own creature... and a mutated, infectious one at that. With all thirteen of its first season episodes having aired earlier this year, Helix is now headed to Blu-ray and DVD, with a generous amount of bonus features for fans to enjoy.

According to Blu-ray.com, Helix: The Complete First Season will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on July 1st via Syfy and Sony Pictures Television. In addition to showcasing all the high-tension carnage in beautiful high-definition, the Blu-ray & DVD release of Helix comes with bonus features galore:

Syfy announced a second season of Helix earlier this year, with a likely premiere date in winter of 2015. For those not familiar with Helix, here is the show's synopsis, as well as cast and crew details:
