At 20th Century Fox's Independence Day Q&A live stream last night, the official title for Independence Day 2 was revealed, along with new images teasing the futuristic technology we can expect to see in the sequel.

Slated for a June 24th, 2016 release, Roland Emmerich's long-awaited Independence Day sequel is officially titled Independence Day Resurgence. Also released yesterday were new images from the film, including a look at a new moon rig that Liam Hemsworth's character will operate.
