It's monster mayhem at Legendary's Comic-Con panel today. After revealing three monsters that will appear with Godzilla in the next installment of Gareth Edward's saga on the radioactive reptile, Legendary closed out their panel by announcing that they are working on a feature film called Skull Island via a teaser video. The film will explore the cinematic home of King Kong, including the big beast himself.

Skull Island already has a release date: November 4th, 2016. The teaser ended by showing footage of King Kong, so moviegoers can expect to be reintroduced to the beloved monster. It's uncertain if Skull Island will be a continuation of Peter Jackson's 2005 King Kong film or a complete reboot. With Legendary also distributing the Godzilla films, there will certainly be speculation from fans that this could be the setup to a King Kong/Godzilla showdown somewhere along the line. We'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on this movie as more details surface.
