The Leprechaun has the ultimate luck of the Irish, but those who cross his path have some of the worst luck in the world, for they'll be lucky to survive his wrath. The horror franchise that began in 1993 will be reborn late this summer with Leprechaun: Origins. The first full-length trailer for the film doesn't give us a good look at the Leprechaun, but it does feature his potential victims.
This time around the Leprechaun is portrayed by WWE Superstar Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl. From Lionsgate Home Entertainment, Leprechaun: Origins is set for an August 26th VOD release and will come out on Blu-ray and DVD on September 30th. Backpacking through the lush Irish countryside, two unsuspecting young couples discover a town's chilling secret. Ben (Dunbar), Sophie (Bennet), David (Fletcher) and Jeni (Roxburgh) quickly discover the idyllic land is not what it appears to be when the town's residents offer the hikers an old cabin at the edge of the woods. Soon, the friends will find that one of Ireland's most famous legends is a terrifying reality.
The Blu-ray and DVD include two behind-the-scenes featurettes and will be available for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.98 respectively.
