New Photos of The Walking Dead Rick Grimes Comic Book Statue from McFarlane Toys

During this year's Toy Fair, we gave Daily Dead readers an early look at the The Walking Dead Rick Grimes statue in its unpainted form from McFarlane Toys, depicting Rick as he appears in the comic book series. Now the hand-painted final version of the resin statue is available for purchase and the images of the blood-blasting collectible perfectly capture the visceral side of the comic book.

A McFarlane Collectors Club Exclusive, The Walking Dead Comic: Rick Grimes Resin Statue is over 12-inches tall and is based on a rough sketch from series creator Robert Kirkman. Rick is shown strangling one walker with his bandaged right stump, scattering another walker's brains with his revolver, with a previously axed walker falling at his feet. The four figures are fighting atop a pile of rubble, which serves as the statue's 360 degree rotating base. This hand-painted piece not only includes Rick Grimes and three full zombies, but also three zombie heads and a slew of body parts smeared across every angle of the 360 degree rotating rubble base. From the exploding brain matter and a head-locked zombie to a zombie head crushed under Rick's boot, you can feel his rage throughout the entire piece.

Each statue also includes a highly detailed sculpted plaque that is individually numbered, along with a certificate of authenticity signed by both Robert Kirkman and Todd McFarlane.
