R.J. MacReady, Jack Burton, Wyatt Earp... screen legend Kurt Russell has brought many memorable characters to life on the big screen over his storied career and perhaps one of his most-loved performances is his portrayal of Snake Plissken in John Carpenter's Escape from New York. NECA is paying homage to the convict-turned-rescuer with their new Snake Plissken figure that's featured in a new batch of images.

Due out in January 2015, NECA's 8-inch tall, posable Snake Plissken figure depicts the character as he appeared in the beloved 1981 film, complete with enough firepower to take on the Duke of New York's forces. NECA also reveals that their Snake figure has the iconic tattoo. We have up-close images of the figure and its official details below (via NECA):

"Action figure and action movie fans will both rejoice at our latest offering: a brand new Snake Plissken doll based on the 1981 film Escape from New York, and featuring the likeness of actor Kurt Russell!

This poseable 8″ figure is dressed in fabric clothing similar to the toy lines that helped define the licensed action figure market in the 1970s. Snake wears his iconic camo pants, muscle tee and assault boots and comes with a removable jacket, holster belt, and enough weaponry to take down a small army."
