Netflix continues to look for ways to set itself apart from competitors and has been investing in original programming. Netflix has a large library of horror titles and wants to add an exclusive horror series from Eli Roth to their horror offerings.

According to Deadline, Netflix is in the process of finalizing a deal for a 13-episode series order of "an hourlong thriller/horror series executive produced and directed by Eli Roth". The series is titled Hemlock Grove and is based on an upcoming Brian McGreevy novel set to be released next year.

The series is described as being "set against the backdrop of our darkest myths, adolescent deceptions, ravenous relationships and rumors of a werewolf, the series re-imagines everything it means to be a monster as reflected in the struggle to be human".

Brian McGreevy will be involved in the TV series as well, co-writing scripts for the series with writing partner Lee Shipman. Eric Newman (Strike Entertainment) will produce the series, while Eli Roth, Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman will serve as executive producers. We'll have more information on this project, once the deal with Netflix is finalized.
