Those looking forward to revisiting 112 Ocean Avenue will now have to wait until next year, as The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films have pushed back the release date of Amityville: The Awakening to early 2017.

According to Box Office MojoAmityville: The Awakening is now scheduled to hit theaters on January 6th, 2017. The latest film in the Amityville franchise was most recently slated for an April 1st, 2016 release (after previously being moved on the calendar a couple of other times).

Moving to January 2017 means that Amityville: The Awakening will share the same release month with the new Friday the 13th movie (January 13th), M. Night Shyamalan's Split (January 20th), and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (January 27th).

Starring Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Thomas Mann, and Kurtwood Smith, Amityville: The Awakening is directed by Franck Khalfoun and produced by Jason Blum. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates.
