Another actor has been revealed to be a part of the deadly games of Saw: Legacy.

Deadline reports that the Saw: Legacy cast includes Mandela Van Peebles (2016's Roots, We the Party), who is part of a cast that also includes the recently announced Laura Vandervoort (Bitten) and Hannah Anderson (Lizzie Borden Took an Ax). Mandela is the son of actor and filmmaker Mario Van Peebles.

Variety previously reported that Saw: Legacy was filmed in November and is currently in post-production. Scheduled for an October 27th, 2017 release, Saw: Legacy was directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Predestination, Daybreakers, Undead) from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.

Saw: Legacy is based on the original Saw world created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell, which kicked off with a 2003 short film followed by a feature version that made a big impact on the modern horror scene.

The franchise's producers Mark Burg, Gregg Hoffman, and Oren Koules are all returning to back Saw: Legacy.

No story details are known at this time, so it's unclear if John Kramer (played by Tobin Bell), aka Jigsaw, will continue to kill from beyond the grave by ensnaring wrongdoers (with a little help from the living) in his macabre maze of deadly traps. We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed.
