In case you missed last week's news, it was announced that John Carpenter's Halloween will return to theaters across the country this October. We're still waiting on official presentation and location details, but until then, take a look at the new poster that was just released.

Original Announcement: "This October, John Carpenter's immortal classic, HALLOWEEN, will be making a return to theaters nationwide. This will be the biggest run the film has had since shocking audiences in 1978, and makes for the perfect early kick off to next year's 35th Anniversary celebration.

Screening before the film will be YOU CAN'T KILL THE BOGEYMAN: 35 YEARS OF HALLOWEEN, a new mini documentary written and directed by our own Justin Beahm, focusing on the undeniable impact the film (and series) has had on culture and the genre. The documentary will run at all screenings coast-to-coast."

Poster Details: "Compass International Pictures, Trancas International Films, Screenvision, and HalloweenMovies.com are proud to present the one sheet for this October’s U.S. theatrical re-release of John Carpenter’s 1978 masterpiece, HALLOWEEN. The poster, designed by artist Austin Hinderliter, marks the return of THE SHAPE to cinema lobbies across the country, presenting the ultimate evil in shadow and autumnal oranges.

List of theaters will start showing up soon at HalloweenOnScreen.com. The press release with full details is expected very soon. Until then, enjoy the poster and share it wherever you can."
