A great white shark aims its massive maw at a surfer in The Shallows, an upcoming thriller that's teased in a new trailer ahead of its summer release.
"In the taut thriller The Shallows, when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy's ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, 2005's House of Wax) from a screenplay by Anthony Jaswinski, The Shallows stars Blake Lively and is scheduled to hit theaters from Sony Pictures on June 29th.
