A one-night stand turns into a long-term fight for survival in Night of the Living Deb. With the European Film Market underway, MPI has acquired North American distribution rights to the horror comedy from Jinga Films.

Dark Sky Films plans to release Night of the Living Deb in the United States and Canada this September. The latest film from director Kyle Rankin made its world premiere at last year's FrightFest and will receive a UK release from Icon Films, the distributor behind Rankin's directorial debut, Infestation (2010).

With the upcoming North American release of Night of the Living Deb, MPI/Dark Sky Films will continue their history of working with Jinga Films, having previously distributed Gnaw, Para Elisa, and The House at the End of Time.

Night Of The Living Deb is America’s answer to Shaun Of The Dead,” said Jinga’s Julian Richards “and with recent titles such as Deathgasm and Southbound we are pleased to be business again with MPI/Dark Sky Films."

We'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on further details. In the meantime, we have Night of the Living Deb's official synopsis, trailer, and teaser poster.

Synopsis: "Maria Thayer (Forgetting Sarah Marshal), Michael Cassidy (Argo) and Ray Wise (Robocop) star in this rom-zom-com about a one night stand that evolves into a zombie apocalypse in which the mismatched couple discover that the only thing scarier than trusting someone with your life is trusting them with your heart."
