Now that we’re bidding farewell to Halloween, there aren’t a ton of genre-related home entertainment releases coming our way. But as the saying goes—quality over quantity—which means that while November 1st isn’t necessarily a busy day, it still has several stellar horror and sci-fi offerings for us fans to get excited about.

The latest from indie filmmaker Mickey Keating, Carnage Park, comes home on both Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday courtesy of Scream Factory and IFC Midnight, and Star Trek Beyond will be coming out on 3D and 4K Blu-ray releases. For all you Walking Dead fans out there, the sublime season 6 limited edition box set arrives on November 1st from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Other notable home entertainment releases for this week include Last Girl Standing, Daylight’s End, Dam Sharks, and Happy Birthday.

Carnage Park (Scream Factory/IFC Midnight, Blu-ray & DVD)

It’s 1978 and a bank robbery gone wrong forces two criminals to take a hostage, the young-but-resilient Vivian (The Last Exorcism’s Ashley Bell), as they go on the run. But things go from bad to off-the-rails berserk when Vivian and her captors wind up in the crosshairs of a deranged ex-military sniper (Pat Healy, Cheap Thrills, Starry Eyes), who ensnares them in his deadly game of cat and mouse. Rising horror auteur Mickey Keating (Pod, Darling) directs this gritty, grisly homage to the glory days of grindhouse cinema.

Star Trek Beyond (Paramount, 4K Blu/3D Blu, Blu/Digital HD & DVD)

"Star Trek Beyond," the highly anticipated next installment in the globally popular Star Trek franchise, created by Gene Roddenberry and reintroduced by J.J. Abrams in 2009, returns with director Justin Lin (“The Fast and the Furious” franchise) at the helm of this epic voyage of the U.S.S. Enterprise and her intrepid crew. In “Beyond," the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

The Walking Dead: Season 6 Limited Edition Box Set (Anchor Bay Entertainment, Blu-ray)

Season Six starts with Alexandria's safety shattered by multiple threats. To make it, the people of Alexandria will need to catch up with our survivors hardness while many of Rick's people will need to take a step back from the violence and pragmatism they've needed to embrace. These reversals won't happen easily, or without conflict.

But now Rick's group is fighting for something more than survival...They're fighting for their home, and they will defend that at any cost, against any threat, even if that threat comes from within.

McFarlane Toys has done it again creating a striking, must-own packaging concept. This year’s Limited Edition features the “truck” walker from the infamous rock quarry in the very first episode of Season 6. Handsomely crafted and intricately detailed, the figurine is based on the original walker designed by award-winning special effects make-up Supervisor and Executive Producer, Greg Nicotero. Packaging also includes a collectible 5-disc Blu-ray™ set digipack with exclusive “walker” cover art available only with this set.
