Not long after he revealed a new image of his character in Pacific Rim: Uprising, actor John Boyega has now unveiled the official logo for the kaiju vs. Jaegers sequel.

Boyega unveiled the new logo on Twitter (and director Steven S. DeKnight did the same on Instagram), less than two weeks after tweeting an image of his character with the caption "I am Pentecost," confirming that he will play the son of Idris Elba's kaiju-fighting character from the 2013 film. Further plot details are being kept under wraps.

Produced by Guillermo del Toro (who directed the first film in the franchise), Pacific Rim: Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus, Netflix’s Daredevil) from a screenplay by Derek Connolly (Jurassic World), with an earlier draft written by Jon Spaihts (The Mummy, Doctor Strange, Prometheus).

A Legendary film, Pacific Rim: Uprising is scheduled for a February 23rd, 2018 release from Universal Pictures, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed.
