Patient Zero to Star Matt Smith

Following his turn as the Eleventh Doctor on Doctor Who, actor Matt Smith has gotten involved in a number of feature films, including roles in Terminator: Genisys and Screen Gems' Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Now it's been revealed that Smith is set to star in another Screen Gems film, Patient Zero, which takes place in a world where violence reigns supreme in the aftermath of a strange and powerful rabies outbreak.

Deadline reports that Matt Smith is set to star in Patient Zero, joining Game of Thrones' Natalie Dormer in the film's cast. Stefan Ruzowitzky (Deadfall) will helm the picture off a script by Mike Le (Dark Summer). We'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on further announcements regarding the film.
