Another poster for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit has been released, once again stressing grandma's strict rules. Also included in our latest round-up are details on an upcoming modern day-set film adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart, as well as information on an in-development mystery series from It Follows writer/director David Robert Mitchell.

The Visit: A Blumhouse Productions and Blinding Edge Pictures film from Universal Pictures, M. Night Shyamalan's The Visit will hit theaters in September:

"Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable) and producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious series) welcome you to Universal Pictures’ The Visit. Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.

Shyamalan produces The Visit through his Blinding Edge Pictures, while Blum produces through his Blumhouse Productions alongside Mark Bienstock (Quarantine 2: Terminal). Steven Schneider (Insidious) and Ashwin Rajan (Devil) executive produce the thriller."

The Tell-Tale Heart: According to MTV.com, production is underway on Tell-Tale Lies, a modern day reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story, "The Tell-Tale Heart." The project comes from Synthetic Cinema International and Stargazer Films, with Colin Theys directing from a screenplay by John Doolan.

Beau Mirchoff and Alexa Vega star in the film, along with Renee Olstead, Michael J. Willett, Bailey De Young, Sara Kapner, Ethan Phillips, Anthony Del Negro, Sean Patrick Thomas and John Heard.

Tell-Tale Lies will follow four friends at an esteemed college "who find themselves in the unfathomable position of being connected to an accidental murder. And when a fifth student discovers the group’s involvement in the scandal, Beau & Co. will panic and begin to plot her murder to cover their tracks."

No release date has been set for Tell-Tale Lies yet, but stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates.

Mr. Postman: According to The Hollywood Reporter, It Follows writer/director David Robert Mitchell is working on a crime series called Mr. Postman for Universal Cable Productions, the same company that Wes Craven is collaborating with for several TV series (one of which is an adaptation of his 1991 film, The People Under the Stairs).

Mitchell's small screen debut, "Mr. Postman follows a mailman who investigates the dark mysteries within his all-American town after a horrific event occurs on his own street." Mitchell will direct and executive produce the project with Benderspink's Chris Bender, J.C. Spink and Jake Weiner. No further details are known at this time.
