On her deathbed, successful businessman Dave Gorman's mother reveals that he is not her only son. Dave, along with his wife Christine and their two teenage children Jon and Emily, embarks on a dangerous journey to the central New York town of Northwood in an attempt to locate Leonard—the brother he never knew existed.

Soon, Dave and his family find that this is no ordinary town and Leonard is no ordinary inhabitant.

Leonard once institutionalized at Northwood Asylum—home to America's worst, mentally deranged criminals—lead a patient revolt ending with the fiery destruction of their prison. Before his exodus from Northwood Asylum, Leonard brainwashed the other patients into believing he is the Messiah. Since, Leonard's deranged cult has held the town of Northwood hostage with designs of a greater escape and a promise from Leonard for salvation and eternal life.

When the Gorman family arrives, Leonard blames Dave for his tormented life of misery and is more interested in revenge than a family reunion. Separated and outnumbered in a town with no cell service and no help from the frightened locals, Dave and his family face a mad man and his Psycho Cult Posse with a tyrannical hidden agenda. To survive, they must learn the true meanings of acceptance, forgiveness and loyalty while discovering a deadly secret about Dave that is perhaps better left forgotten.

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
