The Returned on Netflix: Deadline reports that Netflix, along with FremantleMedia International, has made a deal that will allow them to stream episodes of A&E's The Returned as a Netflix original show in regions outside of Canada and the U.S. within 24 hours of each episode's broadcast in the U.S.

The 10-episode first season of The Returned, based on the French series of the same name, will be available to stream on Netflix in the U.S. sometime next year. The first season debuts next Monday, March 9th.

"“The Returned,” from executive producers Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “Bates Motel”) and Raelle Tucker (“True Blood”), focuses on a small town that is turned upside down when several local people, who have been long presumed dead suddenly reappear, bringing with them both positive and detrimental consequences."

The Autopsy of Jane Doe: Deadline reports that Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox will star in The Autopsy of Jane Doe, the first English-language film from Andre Øvredal (Trollhunter).

The film's script, co-scribed by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, has spent time on the 2013 Black List and the Blood List, making it an unmade movie with high potential for scares and quality storytelling. Production on The Autopsy of Jane Doe is expected to begin at the end of the month in the UK. Here's the film's synopsis:

"Cox and Hirsch will play father and son coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets."
