Scream Factory recently announced that 2002's Dog Soldiers would be released later this year as a collector's edition Blu-ray / DVD combo pack. Unfortunately, the release has been delayed and we may not see it this year. According to Scream Factory, this is due to a rights issue that needs to be resolved:

"Sorry guys but there's been a change of plans for our upcoming Collector's Edition release of DOG SOLDIERS that we need to make you aware of...

Due to unforeseen issues on clear ownership of the rights, we are forced to move the title off of its planned August 26th release. Rest assured, we are doing everything we can to work out a solution to bring this back into our scary fold but, as of now, the street date is undetermined and there is a strong possibility of it moving to early 2015.

As always, we will keep you guys posted on any developments. Our apologies again."

Synopsis: "On manoeuvres with their squad in the Scottish Highlands, soliders Cooper (Kevin McKidd) and Wells (Sean Pertwee) come across the ravaged remains of another military unit. The only survivor, Ryan, is badly injured and unable to explain clearly what happened; nevertheless the men get a pretty good idea when night falls and they themselves are attacked by unidentifiable wild beasts. Finding refuge with a family in a nearby house, the owner tells them about werewolves who hunt in the area, and the soldiers begin to dig in, preparing for a big fight. Meanwhile, Ryan begins to undergo some unexpected changes..."
