Nearly eight years ago, Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity debuted at Los Angeles' Screamfest Horror Film Festival, and it's now been announced that Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension—the final chapter of the found footage franchise—will fittingly premiere at the festival.

According to The Hollywood ReporterParanormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension will debut on Thursday, October 22nd, as the closing film of Screamfest 2015 (which goes from October 13th–22nd). The new entry to the franchise will haunt the TCL Chinese Theatre in RealD 3D.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension gets a wide theatrical US release the next day, October 23rd, but viewers in Los Angeles won't be the only ones able to watch it on the 22nd. In honor of the original film's innovative "Demand It" online campaign that brought Paranormal Activity to select theaters, Screamfest will also screen Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension in the same 12 cities that demanded it be shown in their neck of the woods back in 2009:
