Following the recent news that Ernie Hudson will pop up in Paul Feig's Ghostbusters, it's now been revealed that Sigourney Weaver will also appear in the reboot.

Paul Feig announced via Twitter today that Sigourney Weaver will appear in the new Ghostbusters movie. There's no word yet if she'll reprise her role as Dana Barrett from the first two Ghostbusters films, or if she'll play a different character altogether.

It was recently revealed that Ernie Hudson will join Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd on the list of stars from the original movies to appear in the reboot, with Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz) also expected to have a cameo in Feig's film. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates.

Based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Katie Dippold (The Heat), Feig's Ghostbusters features a paranormal investigative team comprised of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, with Chris Hemsworth also along for the ride as Kevin the receptionist. The new Ghostbusters movie is slated to hit theaters on July 15th, 2016. Are you excited to see Sigourney Weaver in the reboot?
