Castle Rock. It's a town where many of Stephen King's stories take place and one that's referenced in many more. It's a community existing smack-dab in the center of King's wonderfully weird literary world, and now it appears that it will come to life in a new limited series on Hulu.

Abrams' Bad Robot production company announced the Castle Rock series in a mysterious video (see below) that references several of King's most famous works.

Deadline reports that Castle Rock is a limited series based on the stories of Stephen King. The project is being penned and executive produced by Sam Shaw (Manhattan, Masters of Sex), with Abrams, Bad Robot, Warner Bros. TV (and likely King) also backing the series.

Abrams and King previously teamed up to adapt King's 11/22/63 as a limited series of eight episodes on Hulu. It's not yet known how many episodes or what type of storytelling (will it be an anthology series or one massive tale with many of King's characters and plots?) to expect from Castle Rock, and a premiere date is also unknown, but you can be sure that we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed. In the meantime, check out the Twitter posts from Stephen King and Bad Robot, below.
