Soon you can step into the world of a summer camp slasher film from the comfort of your own couch, as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has slated The Final Girls for a November 3rd Blu-ray and DVD debut, complete with a hearty helping of bonus features:

Press Release (via Home Theater Forum): CULVER CITY, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2015) – An official selection of the SXSW Film Festival, the Los Angeles Film Festival, screened at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness, and celebrated at SITGES, director Todd Strauss-Schulson’s genre-blending horror comedy THE FINAL GIRLS debuts on Blu-ray and DVD Nov. 3 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Taissa Farmiga (“American Horror Story”), Malin Akerman (Couples Retreat), Adam DeVine (“Modern Family”), Thomas Middleditch (“Silicon Valley”), Alia Shawkat (“Arrested Development”), Alexander Ludwig (“Vikings”) and Nina Dobrev (“The Vampire Diaries”) star in the unconventional comedy about a young girl (Farmiga) who is mysteriously transported with her friends into the 1980s horror film that starred her late mother (Akerman). Now they must fend off the camp counselors’ raging hormones, battle a deranged machete-wielding killer and find a way to escape the movie and make it back home.

THE FINAL GIRLS comes loaded with bonus materials, including alternate endings, deleted and extended scenes, each with optional director’s commentary; cast and crew commentary featuring Director Todd Strauss-Schulson, and actors Thomas Middleditch, Taissa Farmiga and Angela Trimbur; and writers’ commentary with Joshua Miller and M.A. Fortin.

Synopsis:
When Max (Taissa Farmiga) and her friends reluctantly attend an anniversary screening of “Camp Bloodbath”, the infamous ‘80s horror film that starred Max’s late mother (Malin Akerman), they are mysteriously sucked into the silver screen. They soon realize they are trapped inside the cult classic movie and must team up with the fictional and ill-fated camp counselors, including Max’s mom as the scream queen, to battle the film’s machete-wielding killer. With the body count rising in scene after iconic scene, who will be the final girls left standing and live to escape this film?  THE FINAL GIRLS is a genre-blending horror comedy also starring Adam DeVine, Thomas Middleditch, Alia Shawkat with Alexander Ludwig and Nina Dobrev.

Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson and written by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller, THE FINAL GIRLS was produced by Michael London and Janice Williams. Darren M. Demetre, M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller served as executive producers.
