1977's The Incredible Melting Man is finally coming to DVD, as part of MGM's Limited Edition Collection. This will be offered starting on August 23rd under MGM's “manufacturing on demand” (MOD) program that allows allows retailers to offer MGM titles for sale on their websites without having to order product upfront.
Directed and written by William Sachs, The Incredible Melting Man stars Alex Rebar as an astronaut who is "transformed into a murderous gelatinous mass after returning from an ill-fated space voyage". Online retailers such as Amazon.com and Oldies.com are currently taking pre-orders in the $17.99 - $19.99 price range.
