A spiritual showdown between Father Lozano (Michael Peña) and a powerful demon takes center stage in director Mark Neveldine's (Crank, Crank: High Voltage) The Vatican Tapes. The official poster for the exorcism film has been revealed, giving us a glimpse of what this satanic entity is capable of.

"THE VATICAN TAPES follows the ultimate battle between good and evil- God versus Satan. Angela Holmes is an ordinary 27-year- old until she begins to have a devastating effect on anyone close, causing serious injury and death. Holmes is examined and possession is suspected, but when the Vatican is called upon to exorcise the demon, the possession proves to be an ancient satanic force more powerful than ever imagined. It’s all up to Father Lozano (MICHAEL PEÑA) to wage war for more than just Angela’s soul, but for the world as we know it."

Directed by Mark Neveldine from a screenplay he wrote with Christopher Borrelli, Chris Morgan, and Michael C. Martin, The Vatican Tapes stars Olivia Taylor Dudley, Michael Peña, Djimon Housou, and Dougray Scott. From Lionsgate, Lakeshore, and Pantelion Films, The Vatican Tapes is rated PG-13 and hits theaters on July 24th.
