Don’t understand Kirkman’s motivation to kill Andrea and Carl.  What is Rick’s motivation if Carl is gone?

We have *nothing* to go on that would let us know that will be the outcome. Yes, they’ve said it will be Rick’s “darkest moment,” and that obviously makes us think of Carl since the previous “most-dark moment” award clearly goes to the wife-and-infant-torn-apart-by-gunfire scene. But it’s possible that “darkest” may refer to something *does* and not something that *happens* to him (or even something Carl does).

As for Rick’s motivation in a post-Carl world, it could responsibility to the people who desperately need his leadership. Or it’s possible Carl could die but Andrea lives. Personally, I freakin can’t wait to be shocked/surprised/amazed by #100!
