One stalks the streets as trick-or-treaters ring doorbells and handfuls of candy are given away. Another visits naughty children's homes on Christmas Eve with the intention of gobbling the little terrors. Holiday creatures Sam and Krampus are celebrated and feared and are featured in the films of Michael Dougherty, the former in 2007's Trick ’r Treat (as well as the in-development Trick ’r Treat 2) and the latter in the upcoming Krampus.
