This weekend, the long wait is finally over for fans as Eli Roth’s grizzly tale of cannibal horror, The Green Inferno, is set to arrive in theaters courtesy of BH Tilt. Starring Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara, Kirby Bliss Blanton and Sky Ferreira, the film follows a group of activists into the jungles of the Amazon where, after a horrific plane crash, the group is attacked and taken hostage by a clan of cannibals who have no intention of letting the intruders get away alive.

During a recent press day, Daily Dead caught up with both Roth and Izzo and heard from the pair on their experiences working on The Green Inferno, collaborating with real-life tribespeople who had no knowledge of the outside world, the tough road of getting the film distributed after some controversy, and how the fans are really the ones who made The Green Inferno’s theatrical release on Friday possible.

Check out our exclusive video interviews with Roth and Izzo below and look for The Green Inferno in theaters soon!
