It's been years since we first reported on Ouija, back when the original plan would have McG directing and a $100+ million budget. More recently, Universal took Ouija in a new direction with Platinum Dunes teaming up with Blumhouse Productions. Here's a look at the first trailer:
“In theaters this Halloween, OUIJA follows a group of friends who must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board. Stiles White directs the supernatural thriller that is produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (The Purge, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th) alongside Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious series, The Purge), Bennett Schneir (Battleship) and Hasbro.”
Directed by Stiles White, Ouija stars livia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos and Ana Coto. The movie will be released on October 24th, so keep an eye out on more coverage as we get closer to Halloween.
