"If you can hear this broadcast, save humanity, find Murphy." It may be hard to believe, but we're less than one month away from the second season premiere of "the other zombie show on TV", Syfy's Z Nation, which is teased in a new trailer.

Debuting September 11th at 10:00pm EST, the second season premiere of Z Nation picks up after the cliffhanger of last season's final episode, "Doctor of the Dead." The survivors of the first season (which racked up quite the body count) return for the 15-episode sophomore season with the mission to get Murphy to California more urgent than ever before.

The first season of Z Nation featured a delightfully zany "anything goes" atmosphere highlighted by a "zombienado" in episode five, so it will be interesting to see what the writers have in store the second time around. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates, and in the meantime, you can dig into the second season's teaser trailer below.

Season 1 synopsis: "Z Nation starts three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. Although the antibodies he carries are the world’s last, best hope for a vaccine, he hides a dark secret that threatens them all. With humankind’s survival at stake, the ragtag band embarks on a journey of survival across three thousand miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America."
