If your goldfish inexplicably got a little jumpy late last night, it could have been due to director Zack Snyder tweeting the first look of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, a role he's expected to play in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In addition to likely appearing as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Momoa is slated to play the ocean dweller in the upcoming Justice League films, thus the photo's title: "UNITE THE SEVEN." Momoa will also get the chance to swim in the spotlight in an Aquaman feature film, due out in 2018.

Directed by Zack Synder (Man of Steel, 2004′s Dawn of the Dead remake), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jason Momoa, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy, and Jeremy Irons.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016. Justice League Part One is set for a 2017 release, with Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) reprising their roles from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Justice League Part Two, meanwhile, is slated for a 2019 release, with Snyder in the director's chair for both Justice League films. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more details.
